The Process of Creating Mystical Symbols

In Sept 2020 I (Melinda) reached out to Tim to learn more about dowsing, earth energy and the energy I had sensed when visiting ancient sacred sites and labyrinths in the US and Europe, including the labyrinth my husband and I built in our garden in Longmeadow, MA in 2009 (below).

Tim and I worked together for several months.  He presented me with dowsing exercises designed to help me locate underground water flows, earth energy lines, vortices and patterns typically found at ancient sacred sites.   I quickly saw a rich connection between the patterns I was detecting on and around our labyrinth and the work of Swedish abstract artist Hilma af Klint (1862-1944).  I had seen Hilma’s drawings and paintings in 2019 at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC at the museum’s most well attended exhibit in its history.

I was further inspired by an article about Hilma’s process of channeling, written by artist Leah Nguyen of Seattle WA.   I reached out to Leah to learn more about her personal experience drawing and painting in “Conscious Collaborations with Spirit” and very shortly thereafter decided to explore the possibility that I too might enjoy the ability to receive guided images through dowsing.

On Feb 23, 2021 I committed to a year of exploration and play!  One-a-day, for a full calendar year and beyond these magnificent images came into being.  I started by connecting to my heart and then asked Spirit to work with me, my Guides and my Higher Self and share whatever it cared to share.  Using a simple pair of dowsing rods, I posed a series of “yes” or “no” questions, and then, by virtue of the responses, was able to receive instructions sufficient to create every detail of these drawings.  Beyond the rods, my only tools were a straight edge, a compass, a graphite pencil and a vast collection of colored pencils. Not a line, shape or color was placed on the page without first being informed by Spirit.

I have always enjoyed painting, drawing, pattern and design.  As a genre, these images can best be described as Sacred Geometries.  Many teachings have described sacred geometry as the blueprint of creation.  Sacred geometry is considered an ancient science that explores and explains the energy patterns that create and unify all things and reveals the precise way that the energy of creation organizes itself.  Sacred geometry has been described as containing “certain mathematical relationships which radiate vibrational frequencies that call their surrounding environment into resonance with their higher vibration of perfect harmony.” *  The Mystical Symbols seem to have the remarkable ability to do just that!

Tim and I have continued to meet monthly and discuss the drawings as they come into being.  We believe that each Mystical Symbols holds a loving, healing power of its own.   We are delighted to share them with you in the hopes that you too will enjoy them and share your thoughts and experiences with us!
